Soltrite to power video conferencing for Minnesota State wide initiative to provide guidance on children’s mental health
The Minnesota Department of Human Services has entered into a two-year contract with the Mayo Clinic to provide expert guidance to pediatricians and other primary care providers who prescribe psychotropic medications for children. The new service is referred to as “collaborative psychiatric consultation” and is based on pilot projects that have been shown to improve quality of care and save money. This is an innovative collaboration with several Health Care Systems throughout the State of MN (in addition to Mayo) in getting access for children to scarce expertise on child psychiatry and medications.
Soltrite is providing the video conferencing technology that will be used in a variety of applications to support this exciting initiative, including call center routing for telepsychiatry care from on-call psychiatrists.
